Reviews of best JEE Chemistry Books

This is a follow up to my article on reviews of JEE Physics books. It would be good to read it before reading this article because I will be using the terminology used in that article.

Physical chemistry:
For noobs and semi pros, I would recommend OP Tondon

It's the best book and contains ample of theory and problems. Good for beginner as well as intermediate levels.

For the legendaries, I would recommend RC Mukherjee

It's the best book for Physical chemistry problems.

Organic Chemistry:
No book can beat LG Wade when it comes to a book for organic chemistry

I have been promoting this book since a long time because I personally like this book a lot. You can read it like a novel!
A word of advice: LG Wade doesn't cover GOC that well. It is advisable to study GOC from NCERT before starting with Wade. It is good for noobs as well as semi-pros. I would say it is the best book for legendaries as well.

However, for those who are looking for really challenging problems (legendaries!), you should try MS Chauhan

Caution: There are quite a few mistakes in this book. Also note that there are a large number of problems which are way above JEE syllabus. A lot of problems are also exceptional cases. So, use this book only if you think you are legendary

Inorganic Chemistry:
NCERT is an excellent book for noobs

Semi-pros should give a try to relevant portions of OP Tondon inorganic chemistry

Caution: stick to JEE syllabus while reading this book

Legendaries should definitely read JD Lee - the best book out there for inorganic chemistry!

Caution 1: stick to JEE syllabus while reading this book

For all of these books, there are lots of editions available (especially LG Wade and JD Lee). If you are doubtful, just go ahead and purchase the edition attached in this post.

PS: These are the books that I myself referred to during my JEE preparation. What else did I read besides this? I completed FIITJEE and Resonance and Bansal coaching's inorganic chemistry material.
