They were just for JEE purposes.

  2. bhaiya, i sat for nsep 2013 but couldn't qualify. My concepts are clear but the type of problems they give are somewhat directly formulae based or direct results of questions from hcv and irodov. Could you give me some tips regarding this problem

    1. Maybe because of poor examination temperament, your exam went bad.
You should think about the following :
      Which questions went wrong ?
Why did they go wrong ?
Did you commit silly mistakes ?
Did you make conceptual errors ?
      Did you go blank ?
Did you leave a number of questions ?
Were you able to solve subjective problems ?

The answer to these questions will help you to judge yourself

    3. Buy fiitjee papers. Or maybe resonance/bansal/narayana test series.
All are good but be warned that FIITJEE material is the toughest and sometimes it is irrelevant

I agree that AITS questions are extremely tough but you should still try to work them out because the people ahead of you in AITS are going to be your competitors in JEE

  5. Bhaiya, how did you manage space in the exam as the rough space is less and if solutions require more calculation what should be done to utilize space .One more thing ,what does nsep actually test ,memory ,concepts or both

    1. For nsep : check past year papers.
For rough space : manage it yourself. You are preparing for JEE. You should be smart enough to handle everything yourself

1)Did u use to read the chapter beforehand which was to be taught in your coaching?if yes, then from hc verma/halliday resnick or any other source?
2)What order did you use to follow at home for studying once a chapter was started in your coaching?if u had read the chapter beforehnd, then did you read the chapter again at home?how did you go solving questions(conceptual+numericals)??Did you first solve questions from hc verma or fiitjee pckge or dc pandey?
    3) I personally find fiitjee's physics package to be tough?Did you also find it to be tough?

    1. See, my physics teacher was just too awesome. So, I never needed a book for physics. His notes were sufficient. And he made us practice high level question that greatly improved my fundamentals.
So, I just had to revise his notes and physics was done.
I used to (sometimes) read ncert/hc verma before hand. I just went through the headings to see what was to be done.
I never found fiitjee packages to be tough because tougher things were already done in class. My teacher used to make us solve olympiad and irodov questions in class and we enjoyed his class.
Never faced any major problem in physics

    1. No. It's not at all necessary if you are confident enough.
Just try 4-5 problems of irodov from a particular chapter. If you are able to do them then congrats! you have understood the topic well. You may now choose to leave other part (not recommended although).

PS : Please don't insult irodov by comparing it with DC Pandey. Irodov is much better than DC Pandey

Hey, I have searched did places but was not able to find a proper formula for slope of a 3 dimensional figure because that can make vectors really easy in some parts, I'll be really thankful if you could help with it. Also another query, like for calculus in the normal institute book there are 10-15 formulae for differentiation and integration each but in another book there are like 40-50 but many are derived from the simplest forms , so what do you suggest, I should just keep my basics strong and imply on questions or learn all those derived formulae and answer the question in like one two step which can be much much more stressful and time consuming.

    1. I studied the books in the below sequence:

      1. HC Verma
      2. DC Pandey
      3. IE Irodov

I do not know about Galaxy by Ashish Arora, so I would avoid commenting about that.
