Hello guys, Aman here.

We have been sharing lots of knowledge and information on the blog and we are happy to see the response. You guys have been a great help in making this blog a success. We realized that it would be a great idea to share study material as well.

This is a

**free**set of problems on the chapter on Gaseous state. What's so special about it?
1.) It's free! (make sure to click on 'Claim this for Free' checkbox to get it for free). We appreciate any voluntary contribution you want to make :)

2.) It is the same material that I solved during my JEE preparation!

3.) Problems have been categorized as matrix match, integer type, single correct and multi correct

4.) Answers are available on the last page of every sheet

3.) Problems have been categorized as matrix match, integer type, single correct and multi correct

4.) Answers are available on the last page of every sheet

We also have solutions to the problems available, but we are not sharing them with you now. We would encourage you to think about the problems yourself. Also, if you are facing any doubts on a particular problem, post it as a comment. The format should be:

*Problem name, Your doubt*

For instance, a sample doubt might look like this:

*I have a doubt in Q2 of Numerical type. Can someone help me figure out a solution?*

Be very clear about the problem name. This will help everyone locate the problem in their respective sheets and there is a higher chance that you will get answered by others. Also make sure that the same doubt hasn't been asked by someone else. Once you are done with all the problems and got all your doubts discussed, you can 'request the solutions' in the comments section so that you can have a look at our solutions, which will give you more insights (for instance, our solution might be shorter). If you feel that you have a better solution, you can post it in comments and we will put your name in the 'Hall of Fame' section which we will soon introduce on the blog!

A few rules:

- Be very polite and respect your fellow readers. I can block anyone from commenting if I find any foul language being used by anyone. You will be permanently barred from posting ANY comment on the blog! Arguments are more than welcome, but proper decorum should be maintained by everyone
- No solution posting unless anyone requests it.
- You are NOT allowed to copy these sheets in whatsoever any form. These are for your benefits. If everything goes well, we will try and share more sheets with you guys. Soham and I will monitor those sheets to ensure that you get the best content!
- Do not post any unrelated comment on this post. Any such comment will be deleted by blog authors. We want only those comments that are related to the sheets we shared. Feedback related comments are also welcome :)

All the best and happy learning!

New UI is way much better than the earlier one. And thanks for the post above. ^_^

ReplyDeleteThis is with reference to Q7 in the sheet "More than one correct" :-

ReplyDelete'b' is a measure of excluded volume. I am unable to get the physical interpretation of the term "excluded volume". Kindly help me understand its meaning :)

The gas molecules also occupy space. We ignore this space occupied by the gas molecules when we derive ideal gas equation. When we subtract the volume occupied by the gas molecules from the observed volume, we get what you call as 'excluded volume'. Hope its clear now

DeleteNumerical type question no 2,i think one more thing should be given to get the ans.although if we assume the volume to be 22.4 we get diff. Result

ReplyDeleteWe do assume 22.4L as the standard molar volume

DeleteThen the will come out to be 0.99 atm approx. But answer given is 35atm.What went wrong?

DeleteSeems like you are correct. I will cross check it and get back to you

DeleteYes right, I am also getting 0.99atm as my answer for 22.4L as Volume... This question is a part of FIITJEE's Archive also...

DeleteBhaiya, there are some errors in more than one correct type questions no 1,2,3,4 .two of them are repeated, and have different answers

ReplyDeleteI don't see any errors. Can you please be a bit more specific?

DeleteMore than one correct type question has question number 1 and 4 same,,,and question number 2 and 3 are also same, but the answerkeys show different answer for each of them,,please let me know if this happening with me only or everybody.

DeleteYes, you are right these are repeated.. So What are your answers ???
