Preparation strategy for Board Exams

Preparation for board exams can be described in just 1 complete line - "Mug each and every word of NCERT".
That's it , you are done.
Complete NCERT thoroughly. Also , if your JEE preparation is strong enough then you PCM(Physics , Chemistry and Maths) portion is already covered. What you need is a look though NCERT so that you can write the definitions / proofs / derivations in the paper.
Since they have added new "value based questions" , you should be prepared for it. Best source is "Google".
For English , you need to start atleast a couple of months before the exams to avoid last minute pressure.
For Physical Education , you hardly need 2 days. I would suggest memorizing the headings and then explaining it in your own words.
Sorry for no words on computer science (I didn't opt for it).
Just don't take board exams as an extra burden. They are not!.
Infact , take it as an opportunity to judge yourself that how familiar you are with NCERT.
In another of my post , I have already described the importance of NCERT textbooks.
Keep in mind that Board exams don't matter much as far as engineering is concerned. But there is a cutoff percentage that you need to clear to take admission into the IIT's.

Here is a link that might be useful for your board exams' preparation

  1. Hello Aman bhaiya I m pratikshit from mumbai and I consider u as my mentor u write very well. I wanted to ask u why didn't u choose SK goyal algebra instead of tmh?

  2. SK goyal algebra is subjective / tough.
it contains lengthy problems which are not at all required for JEE.
tmh is meant especially for jee aspirants whereas sk goyal is mainly for olympiads.

  4. it's a good book. i studied that book for our ch105 course (organic chemistry - btech first year).
but it contains a lot of stuff that is not at all required for jee (we study that stuff here).
so i would suggest sticking with lg wade

  7. Thnx a lot looking forward to meet u soon(after my jee) do u recommend starting inorganic chemistry before it has started in classes and will NCERT suffice?

  8. How did u select questions from physics ncert.

  9. The additional problems contain many problems which are really good. Just give a look to all the problems (the additional once atleast) , and mentally try to frame a solution. If you are not able to figure out the solution at once , then go for that problem - it's a good problem

  10. Do u think all questions in chemistry ncert are important? and u opted for physical education, then class 11th and 12th computer science has no link with b.tech in computer science?

  13. Sorry guys for not responding. I was busy with my end semester exams
@pratikshit : yes definitely you must start inorganic NOW. i can bet you that they won't teach you inorganic chemistry in the coaching. They never do. This is the status of almost all coachings.

  14. @priya kapur : definitely each and every question of ncert is important. in jee they have picked up intext problems of ncert directly in inorganic section. if you don't believe me then here is a sample :
extra pure nitrogen can be obtained by thermal decomposition of which compound ? this was asked in i guess jee 2010 or 2011 (i don't remember). this is a direct question from ncert (p block elements, class 12th).
for physical education v/s computer science : definitely if you have a computer science background then it helps a lot in learning CS in btech. but that was not a big deal for me because i was well versed with programming because i had learnt how to program for 5 whole years(class 6th to class 10th)
