JEE Advanced 2018 : Time for the finishing touch

So finally it is here, JEE Advanced just a week away. Although I intended to put this up quite earlier but absolutely forgot to do. Nevertheless, let's chalk out a rough plan of what to do this week.

Let’s assume the week starts on Day 1(i.e. today, it's almost gone by now, you may extend today's idea tomorrow) and you are going to write Advanced on Day 7 i.e. you have 7 days before the exam.
Meanwhile, a general guideline to be followed throughout the week is
“Keep your head cool, this is the first and foremost step in tackling the ultimate exam of your life. Don’t let negative thoughts trouble you.”
  • Day 1
—Appear for a full-time 6-hour test at any renowned platform to make sure your body clock is tuned for the exam day.
—Start revising Inorganic Chemistry from NCERT later in the day, making sure to complete at least half of it then
  • Day 2
Analyse the paper you did yesterday properly making sure to identify the silly mistakes you did and taking care not to repeat similar ones in the exam.
—Meanwhile complete entire Inorganic Chemistry from NCERT very thoroughly.
  • Day 3
—Now that you have completed Inorganic Chemistry try to go through some topics of Organic Chemistry like Biomolecules, Polymers and make sure to mug up well the names of common amino acids, their structures (Ex. Alanine, Glycine etc), some common polysaccharides, the different kinds of glycosidic bonds in different carbohydrates etc. Also if you feel you may look at the mechanisms of some common reactions like Aldol Condensation, Cannizzaro Reaction, Claisen-Schmidt, reactions of Amines, FC reactions etc.
  • Day 4
—If you feel like doing you may appear for a 3-hour paper which I otherwise would discourage at this stage as it may do more harm to your morale than good.
—Chill out, probably have a walk in the open, try to refresh your mind with some Indoor game and don’t think much about the exam.
  • Day 5 and Day 6
—No studies at all. Keep your mind away from the anxiety of the exam, try not to think much about what would happen tomorrow. It is pretty natural that you may get damn anxious, have butterflies storming in your stomach but make sure to control this as this may prove suicidal at the last time. Watch a movie if you wish to divert your mind from the coming day. Have a good night’s sleep for around 8 hours.
  • Day 7 (The D-Day)
Rock the paper and enjoy your freedom from this highly competitive life for a while (Of course, you will feel it again soon as you enter college)
That’s all, a very broad guideline one may wish to follow. One thing is important at this phase i.e. to not let your morale go down. Keep up your spirits high and have a blast on 20th May 2018.
All the Best!

  2. A blog must be connected to the person in need. It is really important to understand the actual feel of such necessity and the essence of objective behind it. Author must give proper time to understand every topic before writing it.belastingconsulent amsterdam
